At Wildlife Rescue Day, children will learn about wildlife rehabilitation, how to protect local wildlife, and see up close non-releasable educational animals including: Jet, a Red-Shouldered Hawk; Socrates, a Great Horned Owl; Kanti, an American Kestrel; and Yankee, a Gopher Snake.

This annual free event is attended by hundreds of children in the area, and there will be plenty of crafts and activities.

Wildlife Rescue, Inc. (WRI) rescues, rehabilitates and releases local injured wildlife and is a non-profit based in Palo Alto, serving the cities of Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Palo Alto, and Mountain View. The baby animals are starting to arrive at our shelter and we need your help to restock our supplies. Our Baby Animal Gift Wish List includes: unsalted peanut butter, wheat germ, pillow cases, unflavored Pedialyte, unscented toilet tissue, paper towels. All donations will be appreciated.
